New Leadership at Sixfold

The insurtech company Sixfold appointed Tony Rosa to serve as its Chief Data and Analytics Officer. The appointment supports Sixfold’s goal to strengthen its AI capabilities in insurance underwriting and portfolio risk analysis.

Rosa joins Sixfold after previously being a customer who used the company’s platform to improve his own underwriting processes. Sixfold will benefit from his 15 years of experience in insurance data and analytics as the company moves from single insurance submission analysis to portfolio-level assessment.

Focus on Portfolio-Level Intelligence

Insurance underwriters traditionally analyze risks one submission at a time. Sixfold plans to scale its platform so insurers can better see trends across entire portfolios of policies. This approach helps insurers:

Brian Moseley, Co-founder and CTO of Sixfold, said Rosa will be central to expanding the company’s AI underwriting brain from submission-level insights toward broader portfolio-level intelligence. The solution would provide insurers with essential tools to achieve profitable business expansion.

Rosa’s Background and Vision

Rosa worked as Chief Data and Analytics Officer for Ignyte Insurance before he joined Sixfold. At that company he established enterprise analytics systems which they used to make underwriting and portfolio management decisions. He developed analytics capabilities at NSM Insurance Group which helped the company to grow its data operations and business intelligence systems that handled billions of dollars in premiums across specialized insurance markets.

Rosa said he joined Sixfold because of its strong focus on understanding underwriting workflows and using AI to support effective decision-making. He indicated that future platforms must achieve two goals because they need to process information faster while providing insurance carriers with better strategic insights.

AI Governance and Regulation

Rosa will take charge of Sixfold's responsible AI governance program in his new position. His research will establish responsible AI system management regulations for Sixfold because AI regulations are expanding their reach throughout the world with new laws like the Colorado AI Act and the EU AI Act.

Sixfold’s Growth and Strategy

The appointment reflects Sixfold’s continued investment following its recent $30million Series B funding round which Brewer Lane led and Guidewire participated in. Sixfold plans to expand its AI underwriting platform beyond its current scope of more than 40 insurance lines to a broader global market.
