Men’s Golf Secures Back-to-Back Conference Championship

The Charlotte 49ers delivered a strong performance this spring, which included their men’s golf team winning the American Athletic Conference Championship for the second consecutive year. This achievement marks the program’s 12th conference title and reinforces its position as one of the top teams in the league.

Head coach Ryan Cabbage received Coach of the Year honors because his team maintained high performance throughout the season. The All-Conference Team recognized five players from the program who achieved its greatest success in almost twenty years, which included Daniel Boone Jr., Seb Cave, Chase Cline, Frazer Jones, and Justin Matthews.

Women’s Tennis Achieves Historic Milestones

The Charlotte women's tennis team achieved a historic season. The team achieved its longest winning streak by winning 16 consecutive matches which resulted in their highest national ranking of No. 30.

The team secured its first NCAA Tournament berth through their conference championship victory which they lost to Rice by a 4-3 score.

The women's tennis team achieved its first NCAA Tournament match victory which became the most important moment of the season. The program reached a major achievement through this milestone which demonstrates its increased ability to compete against teams nationwide.
