After 35 Years at Kellanova, Joe Mueller Takes on a Powerful New Role at Acosta Group

Acosta Group Creates New Executive Role to Deepen Retail Partnerships
It has been announced that Joe Mueller will be joining Acosta Group as its new Chief Retailer Partnerships Officer. The introduction of this new executive post is expected to help establish good partnerships and collaboration between retailers.
This move has come after Acosta Group has decided to encourage greater collaboration between brands and retailers in order to cope up with increased competition in the retail environment.
The company based in Jacksonville, Florida, has hired the services of Mueller, who will be joining from Kellanova and now-defunct Kellogg Company, where he has worked for more than 35 years. Throughout his lengthy career, he has earned himself a name as a person who can build good customer relationships, handle major retail accounts, and develop business strategies.
New Position Focuses on Retail Growth and Strategic Relationships
As Mueller settles into his new position, he is expected to collaborate with the leadership teams in the Acosta Group’s Omnichannel Sales & Services unit. Mueller’s job will entail enhancing relationships with retail partners, discovering new avenues for business growth on behalf of both customers and clients, and analyzing trends within the retail marketplace.
The company expects that this will enhance collaboration between the retailer and the consumer brands, thus generating better business strategies. Mueller will also be involved in developing strategies in response to consumer demands.
Leadership Highlights Mueller's Industry Experience
According to Mark Rahiya, Group President, Omnichannel Sales & Services of the Acosta Group, retailer relations continue to be one of the strongest attributes of the company. As he puts it, the creation of this executive position indicates the fact that Acosta continues to invest in strategic partnerships which are essential for growth within the retail environment.
Mueller's impressive experience in the retail business helped him gain wide respect within the industry. In addition to that, as stated by Acosta Group, the broad network and market knowledge of Mueller will help increase cooperation with retailers and create new opportunities for both clients and customers.
A Career Built on Retail and Customer Development
Prior to joining the Acosta Group, Mueller was the Vice President of Industry & Customer Development at Kellanova. Throughout his career, he has been in charge of managing some of the biggest customer businesses for the company and has also been instrumental in forming retailer relationships across different regions.
Furthermore, he has also worked extensively with the Acosta Group over the years on their retail execution, customer development programs, and growth strategies. This will make it easier for him to take up the new leadership position.
The company is confident that Mueller’s experience fits in well with their goal of fostering growth for brands and retailers through retailer relationships, market knowledge, and execution abilities.
