Chef Richard Corrigan Savors London Sheep Drive's Deliciously Eccentric Flair

Renowned chef Richard Corrigan recently took part in a captivating and symbolic event that filled him with immense pride. The event, called the London Sheep Drive, involved the herding of sheep across a famous bridge in the city. As a three-time winner of the Great British Menu, Corrigan led nine sheep across Southwark Bridge as part of a fundraising effort.The London Sheep Drive pays tribute to a historical tradition where freemen were allowed to bring livestock into the city without paying taxes. Becoming a Freeman of the City of London could be achieved by paying a fee or through recognition for public service.
Hailing from County Meath in Ireland and owning multiple restaurants in the city, Corrigan followed in the footsteps of London's ancient trading routes during this event. He was joined by former Lord Mayor of London, Sir Andrew Parmley, and city sheriffs.
Corrigan described the experience as "Deliciously eccentric" and expressed a profound sense of joy and fulfillment.
