Avidbank Bets Big on HOA Banking with Powerful New Leadership Team

Avidbank Launches Dedicated HOA Banking Division
Avidbank has launched a HOA Banking Solutions group within its efforts to expand its commercial banking operations. The bank from California has appointed two experienced bankers in the form of Kimberly Bohn and Chris Lucas for the leadership of its new business group that will concentrate on offering financial services specifically suited to HOAs and their property managers.
The HOA banking solutions will enhance the bank’s existing deposit and treasury management products and also enable the bank to diversify its client base.
Experienced Industry Leaders Join the Bank
Senior Vice President and Managing Director for HOA Banking Solutions has been assigned to Kimberly Bohn. She is equipped with 30 years’ worth of experience in dealing with HOAs. Prior to joining Avidbank, she had worked at Heritage Bank of Commerce, where she established banking programs as well as strong relationships with HOA communities, management firms, and other industry participants.
The company welcomes Chris Lucas as Senior Vice President and Business Development Officer. Like Bohn, she possesses 30 years’ worth of experience in HOA banking. In her current position at Avidbank, she will be in charge of business development and building strategic partnerships with HOA management firms and service providers.
Specialized Banking Services for HOA Communities
HOA Banking Solutions by Avidbank will offer products that are specially designed for homeowners associations. It will include solutions such as operating and reserve accounts, collections of dues and assessments, and management of reserve funds. This is aimed at helping associations and property managers manage their finances in an efficient manner.
According to Kimberly Bohn, there are specific needs that are unique to the HOA community which can be better met through specialized banking knowledge. In addition, the relationship-focused strategy employed by Avidbank will offer a firm footing in this regard.

According to Chairman and CEO Mark D. Mordell, the hiring of Bohn and Lucas enhances the commercial banking expertise of the bank while increasing its deposit and treasury management business operations. Furthermore, he pointed out that with the hiring of these two executives, Avidbank now has six and seven experienced bankers who have been hired following its successful IPO of August 2025, in addition to corporate banking, venture lending, and SBA lending teams which have been expanded.
Avidbank is based in San Jose, California, and offers a wide array of banking services such as commercial and industrial lending, venture lending, structured finance, asset-based lending, sponsor finance, fund finance, and commercial real estate lending.
